Rose City Variations is an improvisational structure that incorporates video and audio recorded in different seasons and at various locations in the Windsor, Ontario area. REcording sites included Peche Island in the Detroit River, Huron Church Road leading to the Ambassador Bridge, a quiet suburban street after dark, a local bingo parlour, and a skating rink. This found material is remixed live along with singers, instrumentalists, and laptop performers.

The first performance of this piece was part of the in/fuse series of multimedia events at the University of Windsor, and led directly to the formation of the Noiseborder Ensemble in the fall of 2008.
